Information used for updates

The signup system processes the email address and/or mobile number you provide, the topics you choose, your channel choices, and confirmation and consent records. It also uses operational records needed to deliver messages, prevent abuse, and honor opt-outs.

You can choose email, texts, or both. A separate confirmation is required for each channel. There is no public subscriber list and no account is required to receive updates.

How that information is used

Your information is used to confirm your request, send updates about your selected topics, manage preferences, provide support, and maintain the signup service. Topics include movie nights, outings, and apps Jonathan makes.

Email consent and text consent are separate. Permission for one channel is not treated as permission for the other.

Services that operate the system

  • Supabase stores signup, preference, verification, and consent records.
  • Resend delivers email and handles email delivery and subscription preferences.
  • Telnyx provides SMS verification and text delivery.
  • Netlify hosts the website and server functions used for signup, and receives messages sent through the website contact form.

Necessary service providers process information to operate these services. Mobile contact data, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe or preference link in an email update to stop email or change its topics. Reply STOP to stop texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of one channel does not opt you out of the other.

To change topics through this site or request to rejoin, use the signup page and confirm the selected channel again. Newly confirmed topics replace the previous topics for that channel. Unconfirmed form selections do not change an existing subscription.

Contact Jonathan about your information, a correction, or a deletion request through the website contact form. Some records may need to be kept to honor an opt-out, prevent abuse, or meet service obligations.
